Bitty's Dr. Appointments and Milestones

I want to keep a detailed log of my progress with Bitty. I have scraps of paper with notes and I'd rather blog it so it's in one place! I didn't write as much down at first, but I'm hoping to record more info down and keep this updated.

6/12/2011 - 2 faint positive pregnancy tests. I used 2 different kinds and both barely had a visible line. Rob didn't believe me that something so faint was still positive, so I had him get a digital test.
6/13/2011 - Positive digital test! I gave it to Rob as an early Father's Day gift :)

All the positives:
6/22/2011 - Initial OB appointment. Mostly paperwork. I had to bring Alyssa with who was trying to get into everything in the office, so I was a bit distracted. I opted out of genetic testing and cord blood banking. The nurse (I believe her name was Jody) gave me an estimated due date of February 18, 2012. I had had a nagging cough and cold symptoms for a few weeks, so I met with another nurse to get checked out. She said all was fine and that was the end of that appointment!
I went downstairs and got my bloodwork done right away. Alyssa gave me hell for it, but I didn't want to wait. I got a call the next day saying everything was great, but that my progesterone levels were in a "gray area". I had to start taking progesterone supplements 4x a day until I got to 11 weeks.
7/1/2011 - They wanted me to get an ultrasound done to make sure everything was progressing as it should. It was the first time we got to see Bitty! There wasn't much to see, but that little bean was ours and when zoomed in we could even see the little heartbeat flutter! So amazing. I was so happy that Rob got to be there with me. Alyssa was there, too, but had no idea what was going on. We had to beg the technician to give us a copy of the ultrasound. She thought it was weird we wanted a pic of a dot, but that was OUR dot! We met with Dr. Shoenmaker afterward to talk about the ultrasound. He said all looked great! He said it looked like I was at 6 weeks instead of 6 weeks 6 days like they originally thought. I was to have an ultrasound a week later to take another look.

7/8/2011 - Time for my second appointment! The whole family was present again. It was amazing at how much Bitty had grown just within a week! Again, we were given a hard time about getting a copy of the ultrasound, but she burned the image to a disc anyway for us :) We waited FOREVER after the ultrasound for Dr. Pugmire to come in. I don't recall ever meeting with her before. Apparently she didn't think she needed to come in and spent most of the time at the doorway. She didn't give us any info about our ultrasound besides it being fine. I had an infection I was concerned with, but she didn't want to hear much about that. Instead she hurried a prescription for a medicine I'm allergic to. Awesome. We decided we didn't like her much. We still didn't know what my updated due date/weekly progress was. Such confusion! At least we knew everything looked good.
7/10/11 - Alyssa's 1st birthday and party!!! This is the date we announced that we were expecting. We opened our gift to Alyssa last and included in it was a "Big Sister" t-shirt. It took a minute for everyone to realize what that meant (and I learned later my dad was still a bit lost for awhile after that), but then it sunk in. It was fun to announce it that way! Both Rachel and Rick said they had suspected that I was pregnant, but didn't want to say anything. I was surprised by that!
7/27/2011 - This appointment was made because I couldn't ignore my infection anymore, but it turned into taking place of my physical. I was happy I didn't have to come back in a week later! I got the OK to go back on Ambien starting my second trimester (yay!) and got a prescription for my infection. I also was told I could stop the Prometrium (progesterone) the following week! Everything else was great! We nailed down how far I was and that my due date hadn't changed and was still February 18th, 2012. This was with Dr. Regal, who delivered Alyssa. She is amazing, kind, and my favorite Dr.! Gwen was babysitting Alyssa, so the whole appointment was as stress-free as could be :)
Stats:
10 weeks 4 days
Weight: 132.6 (I think I was around here the whole time. I don't think I had gained anything yet)
Blood Pressure: 100/68
Baby's heartbeat: 155 BPM
8/24/2011 - This was just a checkup with Dr. Hawkins. I love her! I don't believe I have ever met her before, but she is now one of my favorites.  We discussed my anxiety and I was prescribed Buspar to take twice a day in addition to my Celexa. Besides that we just did weight, urine sample, and baby's heartbeat (which was still there!). Alyssa went to Meghan's house to play with her best friend, Olivia.

14 weeks 4 days
Weight: 133
Blood Pressure: 102/70
